I really think this was the year that 2008 went by waaaaaaaay too fast. And it seems that I always associate the years with what music and films came out. For instance, I can specifically remember 2003, because that was the year Damien Rice’s O came out and shocked my world. And that was also the year Nada Surf emerged again with Let Go. And each year I have records or movies that just remind me of the year. I’m sure in a few years I will associate 2008 with The Dark Knight, the year I got into Rihanna, and Kings of Leon’s epic, magnum opus record, Only By the Night.
But anyways, this wasn’t supposed to be a music post.
Just wanted to say that 2008 was great. I spent my first Christmas in Texas and it was great. God only knows how long I’ll live here, but for now, I embrace it and I’m open to what’s next.
Maybe I will post a music post later on this week. We’ll see.
