A Sports post

I don’t really write about sports on this blog, but sometimes, I just can’t help myself. The reason I don’t write about my number two passion in life, after music, is that I don’t think people care these days. I guess, it relates to what sports I follow. I love the NBA. No one else seems to. At least not my friends. I love college basketball. I love tennis. And I LOVE baseball. Football - I like. I don’t follow it as much, but I do like the sport. And I wouldn’t miss an important football game. There you have it.
Anyways - this is just, awesome. I’m not even a Knicks fan at all, but I love Mike D’Antoni’s coaching and I love Chris Duhon’s leadership he’s shown already. I really don’t know why he was playing backup to Kirk Hinrich in Chicago, but maybe Hinrich and Scott Skiles made a deal or something (intentionally ambiguous statement). But seriously, Duhon had 22 assists! And David Lee has 37 points and 21 boards! That’s nuts. That makes me a Knicks fan.
The way my fandom is in the NBA usually relies on what former Duke players play like on their teams. That seems really, really fairweather, but I see no other way to do it. I like the Jazz because they have Boozer. I like Philly because they have Elton Brand. Same goes for the Nuggets with Dahntay Jones, the Pacers with Dunleavy. I could go on and on. I gotta support the former Dukies!
Anyways… I’m just glad to see Duhon doing well in New York.
